What is the difference between a Personal Chef and a Private Chef?
A private chef is employed by one individual or family full time, often living in the employer’s home and preparing up to 3 meals a day? A Personal Chef serves several clients, usually one per day, and provides multiple meals that are custom designed for the client’s particular requests and requirements. These meals are packaged and stored so that the client may enjoy them at their leisure in the future.
Is having a Personal Chef really affordable?
Just think about the time you spend going out eat every week, not to mention the unhealthy choices. It’s common for the average family to spend over 40 hours a month shopping for groceries, preparing meals, cleaning up after or going to restaurants or getting fast food. The cost is well over $1000 a month. Having your own Personal Chef will save you time and money while you enjoy your delicious healthy prepared meals in the comfort of your own home.
What type of cuisine do you specialize in?
This is a very “custom made for the individual” Style service. Each menu is planned around your preferences and dietary needs. As a professional Chef, I am constantly keeping up with the latest healthy eating trends, and new recipes. I have years of training and experience preparing and serving most types of international cuisines, so you will have many delicious dishes to choose from. If you let me know in our assessment that you enjoy regional Italian cuisine or Asian Stir Fry, I would be happy to add those cuisines as part of the choices on your menus. With all the fresh farm to table meats, poultry, fish, vegetables and grains that are available today, your healthy choices are endless.
Do I have to be home on the cooking session day, and how long does it take you to complete the cooking, packaging and cleanup?
No, with your pre-arranged permission, I will let myself in. I will do the cooking, leave your delicious meals carefully packaged in sealed re-heat able containers, stored in your refrigerator or freezer. I will supply re-heating and safe handling instructions, complete cleanup and then let myself out. If you feel more at ease being there, that’s not a problem. Please note that I will be there as your Personal Chef, and I need to focus on preparing your healthy choices. Socializing with your chef will have to be kept to a minimum, sorry. It will generally take me between 4 to 8 hours to plan, grocery shop, and come to your house and complete your cooking session. The length of time depends on amount of meals prepared. I am more than willing to accommodate your busy schedule.
